James is an independent advisor and consultant, specialist in the Retail and Consumer Goods sectors. He served 18 years at Sainsbury’s in the UK in Finance, Strategy and Commercial. His last position was Grocery Buying Director responsible for £16bn of revenue, managing relationships with 8 of the 10 largest FMCG’s in the world. Most recently at Sainsbury’s James established and ran the new Future Brands division which sourced and contracted new deals with emerging food startups globally.

James is an Advisor and Non-Exec to several technology, social enterprise and food businesses including Localz, Change Please, Hun Wines and Well&Truly.
