Alexander is an entrepreneur, investor and advisor.

He spent the first ten years of his career as a management consultant. He left McKinsey & Co in 2001 to set up his first company, The Little Gym, in Europe and the Middle East.  Since then he has built several other businesses, the most recent consisting of the take-over of Hydrofloors, an aquatic technology business and the launch of The Personality Studio, an innovative personality profiling solution.

As a shareholder and in an advisory capacity, Alexander works with CEOs and boards of directors of international companies in Europe, US and Asia, on matters relating to strategy, governance, organisation and change management.

Alexander has accompanied several strategy and change projects for investee companies of Verlinvest, as well as for Verlinvest itself.

His key strengths lie in his strategic thinking, structuring and ability to deal with complexity. As part of his advisory approach, he always strives to identify and address the roots of any issue or situation, to build, together with his clients, innovative and sustainable solutions.

A Dutch national, Alexander lives in Belgium.

Alexander holds business degrees from Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management and INSEAD (MBA), as well as a degree in neuroscience (INC) and is currently attending a three-year program (OPM – Owner/President Management) at Harvard Business School.

On a personal note, Alexander is married and the father of three children. He enjoys discovering the world as a family, practising alpine and water skiing, managing his show jumping stable as well as sharing his passion for music and interior design.

He sees himself as driven by reaching the next level and enabling others to do so.
